There are several misconceptions about sealing and curing floors.
1. To judge whether there is a slippery sense of hand, "slippery feeling", in fact, most of the alkaline solution, erosion of human skin, and produce a slippery feeling of hand, such as wax, soapy water, alkaline concrete sealant curing agent, but the market of acidic concrete sealant materials, there is no such feeling. Hand slip is only a common characteristic of alkaline solution, and can not be used to judge the quality of material.
2. To determine whether bubbles actually exist in the pores of concrete, there is a certain amount of air, permeable fast, dilute solution. Replacement of pores in the air is fast, the rapid discharge of air, there is bubbling phenomenon. In contrast, the slow, thick solution of permeation slows down the air. There may be little or no bubbling. So bubbling is just a phenomenon of air drained, and we can not judge the quality of material by the second.
3. The acidic material will react with the alkaline concrete, so the alkaline material is better than the acidic material. In fact, the materials on the market, whether acidic or alkaline, are chemical reactions with the alkaline substances in concrete, generally in a very short time to complete the initial reaction and form new substances. On the market, the pH value of alkaline materials is 10-11, pH value of acidic is 2-3, all belong to strong acidity, strong alkaline, if not react quickly, long-term immersion on the ground have corrosive, not just simple neutralization reaction, so acidic and alkaline concrete will neutralize reaction, alkaline is better than acidic is a mistake Area.
