The quality of the epoxy floor project is determined by the base material. Its strength, hardness, and adhesion with the floor coating will directly affect the service life of the coated floor, so the status and treatment of the base material must be paid enough attention. Concrete, cement mortar, terrazzo and steel are the base material of our common epoxy floor works. Here is a brief introduction to several factors that affect the quality of epoxy floor project.
1, the surface roughness of the substrate: the surface roughness of the substrate is the degree of surface concavo convex. We usually use 2m's ruler to measure the spacing of the gaps, and below 3mm is a good flatness.
2. Base Strength: Base Strength is a decisive factor affecting the epoxy floor project, because if the base is destroyed, it will cause damage to the entire floor. Or if the base strength is not enough, the floor coating and the substrate will be pulled apart, so we require the base strength to be greater than 25 MPa.
3. Base dryness: Film bubbling and delamination are due to the moisture content in concrete and mortar ground, which will greatly reduce the bond strength between the base and the coating, so to maintain the dry base. In the epoxy floor engineering, it is generally required that the moisture content of the base is less than 6%, and the drying time of the base is more than 28 days.
4. Environmental Conditions: Before carrying out the epoxy floor project, we should pay attention to the investigation of construction environment as well as the foundation treatment.
