After the construction and application of the ground or wall of the concrete structure building for a period of time, some projects will appear the phenomenon of ash and sand. Such problems of ash and sand are common engineering drawbacks of concrete at present. The appearance of such problems will directly affect the construction effect of floor paint. There are two reasons for causing ash and sand problems.
First: wear and tear of concrete under normal use conditions.
Second: the cause of concrete itself, the industry called "sick concrete ash and sand."
正常使用条件下的起灰、起砂现象，一般出现的机率较低，只有经历很长时间后才会出现明显的损坏，这种损坏属于材料正常使用的正常损坏。而病态混 凝土的起灰、起砂不同于混凝土正常使用条件下的磨损破坏，它是在混凝土施工未启用之前即表现出了严重的结合强度不足和耐磨性差的问题。有资料和工程实践表 明，建筑物出现的病态起灰、起砂与混凝土的抗压强度没有直接的关系，与混凝土的粘结强度密切相关。
Under normal use conditions, the occurrence of ash, sand phenomenon is generally low, only after a long time will appear obvious damage, this damage belongs to the normal use of materials damage. The ashing and sanding of morbid concrete are different from the wear and tear of concrete under normal service conditions. It shows serious problems of insufficient bonding strength and poor wear resistance before concrete construction is started. Some data and engineering practice show that there is no direct relationship between the morbid ash and sand formation of buildings and the compressive strength of concrete, and it is closely related to the bond strength of concrete.
Measures and methods to solve the problem of ash and sand from sick concrete.
Firstly, the concrete which has been dusted and sanded is treated and remedied mainly by physical method: thin layer material is used to make up for it. For example, a layer of 2-3 mm self-leveling cement is constructed and repaired with polymer modified putty scraping and epoxy resin. Because the bond strength of morbid concrete is very low, the bond interface between the two materials is easy to be separated, resulting in new problems such as peeling; without affecting the elevation of roads and buildings, a layer of cement-based materials, such as self-leveling cement, fine aggregate concrete, etc. This is actually a remedy, a serious problem may need to remove the original concrete, re-pouring concrete.
Secondly, precautions should be taken before the cement-based materials are formed, including strengthening the control of raw materials, material mix design, standardized management of construction operations, strengthening process control, strengthening concrete maintenance and avoiding environmental impact on quality. These methods are preventive measures, even so, the cement-based materials of ash, sand phenomenon still occurs from time to time.
