The epoxy self-leveling floor has a highly clean function. Although epoxy floor paint has the characteristics of environmental protection, brightness and one-off film thickness, its disadvantage is easy to foam. There are two kinds of foaming on epoxy self-leveling floor: pinhole bubble and sedimentation cone bubble. In addition to the difference in appearance between the two forms of bubbles, the reasons for their formation are also different. The causes of the formation of the two and how to prevent and remedy them:
1. Reasons for the Formation of Two Foaming Phenomena in Epoxy Self-leveling Floor
Pinhole bubbles: due to bubbles floating in the mixing of materials, and the lack of consistency of materials, resulting in bubbles rising to surface rupture, resulting in pinhole-like bubbles;
Sedimentary conical bubbles: bubbles caused by water vapor rising inside concrete into the paint film to form bubbles and the base is not closed enough so that the material is short of water.
2. How to prevent the occurrence of bubble?
Aiming at "pinhole bubble" of epoxy floor paint, mechanical stirring is used when stirring materials, because manual stirring is slow, difficult to uniform, easy to bubble, and appropriate "defoamer" should be added. The self-leveling "sedimentary conical bubble" of epoxy needs to be strictly closed to the ground, which can be avoided.
3. Measures to Remedy "Bubble" Phenomenon
Once the epoxy floor paint is "bubbling", it can be treated by "defoaming drum".
