Epoxy floor has the characteristics of bright, real, beautiful, wear-resistant, waterproof and anti-corrosion, so nowadays, not only many public places are decorated with epoxy floor, but also some people begin to use it in their homes. The construction technology of floor paint has been introduced before, but various problems will arise if it is not handled properly in the construction. What problems will appear in the construction of floor paint? What about that?
1. Floor seepage problem
Colour penetration refers to the phenomenon that when one coating is coated with another colour of paint, the bottom part penetrates into the surface coating and discolors the surface coating. The main reasons for bleaching are as follows: 1. the primer is dry, 2. the color difference between the primer and the top coat, 3. the primer is not primed or contains colored substances in the base material, 4. the primer contains organic pigments.
2. Floor Paint Flower Problem
It refers to the phenomenon that the color of the coating surface is partially uneven, and there are spots, stripes and color disorders. The main reason is that the construction coatings are not fully stirred uniformly, uneven coating and deterioration of paint components during the construction process.
3. Whitening of Floor Paint Surface
It refers to the white phenomenon of the surface coating after the completion of construction. There are several reasons: too high humidity or too low temperature in the air, water vapor frosting on the coating, resulting in amine precipitation in the curing agent, resulting in white fog gathering on the surface.
4. Wrinkled Fisheye in Floor Paint
Wrinkle is the phenomenon that the surface of the coating is wrinkled or irregularly lined due to the difference of drying speed between the inner layer and the surface layer. Fish eye is the phenomenon that some coatings are contracted and exposed to the coating surface due to the presence of foreign substances on the surface of the coated or the influence of foreign substances mixed with the coatings. Volatilization causes paint to form many circular rings or needle-like holes like leather pores before it can be replenished.
5. Floor paint wrinkles and pinholes
The wrinkling phenomenon of the coating surface is mainly caused by the inconsistency of drying speed between the inner and outer layers of the coating, which results in the skin closure and pinholes on the surface. When the curing agent is mixed with the coating, a large number of bubbles are produced in the coating due to stirring. During the curing process, bubbles continue to escape, leaving traces on the coating and become pinholes.

6. The problem of circular mountain holes in floor paint
The uneven density of the base surface or the insufficient dispersion of fillers will lead to the appearance of annular holes on the ground like non-oil-stained holes, which we call annular holes. The solution is to carefully inspect the base before the construction. If there are any problems, they need to be carefully dealt with before the epoxy floor paint can be constructed. Choose fillers with good dispersion and strengthen the management of material quality.
7. Coarseness and Cracking of Floor Paint
Roughness refers to the appearance of granular substances of different sizes on the surface, which is mainly caused by insoluble impurities and external dust in floor coatings. Surface cracking is caused by the quality problems of raw materials and construction, which leads to the decrease of adhesion of paint layer. Under the influence of external forces, the phenomenon of peeling and cracking occurs.
8. Bad Abundance of Exfoliated Floor Paint
Shedding is due to the phenomenon that the floor cracks lose the original adhesion to the substrate under the action of external forces, the film becomes a small part or the whole sheet is peeled off the surface: the problem of raw materials and construction reasons are that the bottom is not exposed and the fullness is not enough. In short, if you want to do a good job of epoxy floor paint, you must choose good materials and use professional construction team, because professional is the guarantee of quality.
9. Slow Curing of Floor Paint
Slow curing means that the curing reaction of epoxy resin materials becomes slower at extremely low temperature (10 degree C). It is absolutely forbidden to construct at 5 degree C. This phenomenon has a great relationship with the viscosity. The lower the temperature, the higher the viscosity will be, and it will be more difficult to construct. The curing time is too long, which will cause the coating to be contaminated with dirt, sand and other stolen goods, and even slow down the construction period. Another point is that adding solvents in the construction site will also cause the curing to be too slow, because the volatilization of solvents will take away part of the heat and cool the film.
