Because epoxy floor paint is a one-time coating process, no matter how large the area we need to lay, it can achieve no cracks, has a good waterproof, dust-proof performance, while the epoxy floor has a strong acid-alkali resistance, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, pressure resistance and many other properties. According to the different needs of the use place, epoxy floor paint can be designed into a variety of construction schemes: economical and applicable epoxy flat coating floor, pressure and impact resistant epoxy mortar floor, highly clean epoxy self-leveling floor and anti-static epoxy floor. Of course, according to the different construction technology of epoxy floor paint, its thickness is also different.
1. Epoxy flat-coated floor: the most common type of epoxy floor, because its characteristics are thin, so its coating is thinner. The process is primer once, putty once and topcoat twice. After completion, the total thickness of the coating is about 0.5 mm.
2. Epoxy mortar floor: The relative thickness of the coating is higher. The main process is primer once, mortar once, putty once and topcoat twice. The mortar scraping used in the middle coating is used for 1-3 mm construction. The surface layer is the same as the general floor material construction technology, and the thickness is kept at about 0.1 mm. The thickness of the total coating is kept between 1 and 5 mm.
3. Epoxy self-leveling flooring: Because its topcoat is self-leveling, so the thickness is higher than the first two. Putty layer scraping in 1-3 mm is a common situation. The surface layer is maintained between 0.7 and 1 mm in the case of self-leveling, which is much thicker than before. The total thickness of the coating is about 1.5-2.0 mm.
4. Epoxy anti-static floor: When it is constructed, the layer of conductive path is added. Other construction methods are basically the same as ordinary floors. The total thickness is usually 0.5 mm. It is recommended not to exceed 1 mm.
The thickness of epoxy floor also determines the price of floor paint, so when choosing epoxy floor, we must consider many aspects. For example, to refer to the location of the floor, the floor where the floor is located determines whether the use of moisture-proof floor or special moisture-proof treatment. At the same time, we should also consider the degree of use of epoxy floors, such as which vehicles or heavy objects will walk on the floors, and how much load to bear when using, all of which have corresponding requirements for the wear resistance and pressure resistance of epoxy floors. At the same time, the thickness of epoxy resin floor also determines the bearing capacity of the floor. Therefore, when deciding the thickness of epoxy floor, these indicators must be taken into account.
