The cracking of epoxy floor paint film refers to the phenomenon that the epoxy floor paint material loses its due adhesion to the substrate and makes the film into small pieces or the whole strip peeled off the surface under the action of external force. The degree of shedding can be divided into: small shedding with a diameter of less than 5 mm, which is characterized by large shedding shell peeling. In two cases, the damage of epoxy floor paint is due to improper film thickness. One is that the coating is too thick, the other is that the coating is too thin. If the film is too thick, the drying of the volatile paint film is not good. The residual solvent in the film is close to the substrate. The lower layer of the film is soft, which easily causes foaming of the coating and poor adhesion to the substrate. 而过厚涂层对基材的不牢枯结会导致划痕腐蚀的迅速产生。对于催化或内固化型环氧地坪漆来说，则会产生内部收缩，引起环氧地坪漆开裂，甚至剥落。
The improper solidification of the substrate by too thick coating will lead to scratch corrosion. For catalytic or internal curing epoxy floor paint, internal shrinkage will occur, causing cracking or even peeling of epoxy floor paint.
The coating is too thin, usually resulting from too little paint on the surface due to rapid construction. The damage of epoxy floor paint in these areas mainly starts from pitting corrosion. As the dots gradually expand, scratch corrosion occurs in the thinnest area of the coated surface. This is a common damage of epoxy floor paint, which can be avoided as long as the builder works carefully.
