The macromolecule of alkyd resin of epoxy floor paint is gradually formed by simple esterification reaction. Water is formed in esterification reaction. The rate of esterification depends on the rate of water extraction from the reaction system. In addition, catalysts can be used to improve the esterification rate in floor paint engineering. Solvents generally use the azeotropic method of xylene and water to evaporate the generated water, water and xylene vapor through condensation into the separator, water exclusion system, xylene return to the reactor, recycling. 如果二甲苯和水分离不好，二甲苯夹带少量的水回到反应釜内，将使环氧地坪漆酯化时间延长，树脂的透明度差。一些较先进的醇酸树脂生产装置，对冷凝回流系统比较重视，如控制合适的冷凝器尾温、分水器的高径比适当增大，使水和二甲苯尽可能分离好，环氧地坪漆工程中的这些改进只是让二甲苯尽可能地少带水，但不能达到使回流二甲苯完全不含水。
If xylene and water are not separated properly, xylene with a small amount of water returns to the reactor, which will prolong the esterification time of epoxy floor paint and make the transparency of the resin poor. Some advanced alkyd resin production units pay more attention to condensation reflux system, such as controlling suitable tail temperature of condenser and increasing the height-diameter ratio of water distributor, so as to separate water and xylene as well as possible. These improvements in floor paint project only allow xylene to carry less water, but can not make the reflux xylene completely water-free.
The device can ensure the rapid evaporation of xylene and water, and can be fully separated in the water separator after condensation. The DIMETHYLPHENYL flowing into the reactor during the esterification process will not carry water. This can shorten the esterification time of epoxy floor paint, improve the transparency of the resin, narrow the molecular weight distribution of the resin, and improve the performance of the resin. The use of packed column instead of evaporator avoids the loss of low boiling point reactants in esterification polymerization process and ensures the realization of formulation, thus guaranteeing the quality of floor paint resin.
