There are mainly the following kinds: 1. Grating ruler length measurement: the basic principle is to set two fixed length grating rulers on the outside of the two ends of cold-drawn steel pipe, use rodless cylinder to drive the grating ruler close to the two ends of cold-drawn steel pipe, and use light interference phenomenon to complete the measurement of the length of cold-drawn steel pipe. 2. Encoder Length Measurement
The principle is to install an encoder at the oil cylinder, which uses the oil cylinder to propel the cold-drawn steel pipe to move on the roller, and a series of photoelectric switches with equal intervals on the other side. When the cold-drawn steel pipe is touched by the photoelectric switch at the end of the oil cylinder, the distance of the oil cylinder can be calculated from the recorded encoder reading, so that the length of the cold-drawn steel pipe can be calculated.
The characteristic is that the cold-drawn steel pipe will be lifted up by the demand of measuring length. In addition, there are also certain errors in photoelectric switch detection, which may require abundant measurement.
3. Camera Length Measurement.
Camera length measurement is to measure the length of cold-drawn steel pipe by using picture processing. Its principle is that a series of photoelectric thick-wall cold-drawn steel pipe closures with equal intervals are installed on one section of the cold-drawn steel pipe conveying roller, and light source and camera are added to the other section. When the cold-drawn steel pipe passes through this area, the length of the cold-drawn steel pipe can be determined according to the orientation of a photoelectric switch passing through the camera and drawing on the screen.
The feature is that on-line measurement can be completed. Length data of cold-drawn steel pipe can be obtained without interval when it passes through the length measuring area. The lack is that if the special light source is not needed, the cold-drawn steel pipe will be disturbed by the external light. When the special light source is selected, the light will be reflected strongly because the brightness of the cold-drawn steel pipe is high at the end of the chamfered pipe. The 20 # cold-drawn steel pipe is easy to form reading errors.
IV. Improved Encoder Length Measurement
This method is a direct measurement method. The length of cold-drawn steel pipe can be measured directly by measuring the distance between the two ends of cold-drawn steel pipe and their respective reference points. Each end of the cold-drawn steel tube is equipped with a length measuring trolley. The initial orientation is zero, the distance is L, and then the walking distance from the length of the editor to the end of the cold-drawn steel tube is moved (L2L3L-L2-L3 is the length of the cold-drawn steel tube).
