After construction, expansion joints appear on the wear-resistant epoxy flooring, which affects the performance of use. So how can we deal with this situation? The direct and simple way is to cut the expansion joint after the construction of the wear-resistant floor, but to master the relevant operation process, in order to avoid the opposite. First of all, we should grasp the time of cutting the expansion joint of wear-resistant floor, cutting early and easy to collapse, but cutting is useless, usually on the second day after the completion of construction.
In addition to reasonable control of time, the straightness of the expansion joint of wear-resistant floor is also crucial, which mainly depends on the elastic line and cutting. It can be cut by skilled workers with the help of advanced instruments, so as to ensure the straightness of the expansion joint.
As for the size of the cutting expansion joint, the width is generally 3-5mm and the depth is generally 1/3-1/2 of the thickness of cement concrete, which can be based on the requirements of column spacing or design drawings. After cutting the expansion joint of the wear-resistant floor, the cement mortar produced on both sides of the expansion joint should be removed immediately to avoid being difficult to clean after drying. When necessary, it can be washed with water and then filled according to the design requirements after drying.
Before filling, sponge tape should be filled at the bottom of the expansion joint of the wear-resistant epoxy floor. The top of the joint should be filled evenly with a special polyurethane filler gun. Pay attention to filling evenly and satisfactorily, and there should be no holes or broken ends. At the same time, we should avoid polluting the edge of expansion joint and other areas, so as to avoid affecting the overall quality of wear-resistant floor.
